Applications for the DV-2010 the Diversity Visa Lottery
(Green Card Lottery) are required to be Submitted
Electronically between now and December 01, 2008.

However, many applicants waited to apply until the final days of the lottery and it was impossible for them to submit their applications because millions of other people were trying to submit their applications at the same time. We accept your applications year round and submit them at the opportune time, so you have the greatest possibility of getting your application accepted.

A congressional mandate, administered on an annual basis by the Department of State, conducts a Diversity Visa Program (Green Card Lottery).
This provides for 50,000 visas for persons from countries with a low immigration rate, made available for a new class of immigrants or “diversity immigrants”. 

The computer-generated applications are submitted from
November 1st, 2008 to December 30th 2008.

Qualifications:
The following are rules for eligibility:

1. Your country must be on the eligible
country list.

The following countries are not eligible
because these countries sent a total of
more than 50,000 immigrants to the US
in the last 5 years. 

2. Education or training requirements:
Applicants must have a High School 
education or the equivalent OR you must
have 2 years work experience in the
past 5 years. The work must be in an
occupation requiring 2 years of training
or experience to per form.

3. The applicant must file electronically
with a color photograph.
If you have access to a digital camera, you
may email us a photo that complies with all
requirements. (Or you may get photos at
any photo shop that sells passport
photos.). 

On your entry you must list your spouse
and ALL your children who are unmarried and under 21 years of age. If they are your natural children, your spouse's children by a previous marriage, or children you have formally adopted in accordance with the laws of your country, they must be listed. This is unless a child is already a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.

List all children under 21 years of age even if they no
longer reside with you or you do not intend for them
to immigrate under the DV program.
